Maxed Out

So in light of my new fascination with the "Target Women" videos on youtube, I've been inspired with a little side project of my own called "Target Men."

Case #1: Pepsi Max

Men don't like diet soda. They don't like the taste, the look, the connotation. Everyone knows that diet soda is for women who are calorie counting, real men don't need to worry about that kind of thing.

But what about those men who are watching their waistlines? Are they stuck drinking regular soda in an attempt to maintain their image of masculinity? Or do they drink the diet soda in private and hang their heads in shame? Neither! This dilemma has been solved by Pepsi Co.

Pepsi Max is here to save men from the humiliation of drinking a diet drink. Pepsi Max commercials present the beverage as an alternative to Diet Pepsi (apparently a feminine drink). But what makes it more manly? Well, it's got double the caffeine (perfect for a man who needs all that extra energy). Plus, it's got ginseng kinda (it's the last ingredient on the bottle). What could be more manly than that?

Check it out for yourself. Girls, you may want to turn away from your computer screen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rorbv0RWrbk - Wow! Doesn't Pepsi Max make you TOUGH!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54qCMWscD7U - Diet soda worse than buying feminine products for your wife? The SHAME!

Humorous. A macho solution to a real struggle--because no man wants to give up his bacon.

I didn't know men needed a new diet soda.

If you've been drinking Diet Pepsi for years and never realized that it was just for women, I hope you feel embarrassed. What were you thinking?
